Father's Day - Celebrate Family

Enjoy the best farms have to offer – good food, fresh air and time spent with family and friends.  Father’s Day is a great time to celebrate not only Dads but families.  Come walk our forest trail and be enchanted with our Fairy Tale Lane.  Our farm animals love visitors and are happy to show off their babies.

Our market will be open.  Fresh picked Ontario strawberries will be available along with home preserves, apple cider, honey, our own fresh eggs and more.  Our pies will be ready soon but sorry not this weekend,.  We're still working on our kitchen.

Family Day Admission $3.95 ages 2 years plus.  All parents have free admission when accompanied by their children.   Farm is open Sunday June 15th 9:30 till 5

Fathers Day Sunday June 17th- Dads are Free

Fathers are special.  Sometimes taken for granted, not always thanked.  Sunday is a good day to pause, take time to let Dad know he is loved and appreciated, before it is too late.

This week we are mourning the loss of Jim's Dad who died peacefully and suddenly Monday at the great age of 94.  Long time customers will remember him helping out about the farm - BBQing hot dogs in the fall, selling Christmas trees, polishing apples at the Markham Fair.  He was always a source of support for us and we will miss him dearly.

Take time this week to connect with your Dad, tell him at least one thing you appreciate about him.  An investment in family time pays huge dividends.

Fathers are special on the farm

A lot of attention is paid to moms and babies on the farm each spring but lets not forget about dads. We're celebrating dads on the farm this Fathers Day with free admission to our Markham farm'n fun for Dads of all ages when they bring their kids. So come on out to the farm Dad and have your kids meet our kids.

Strawberries are here

Farming can be a challenge and one of the main challenges is predicting when a crop will be ready for picking. Like the weather reports a week can make a big difference in what you predict and what happens the day of. This past weekend we had one variety of berries just starting to ripen and we were picking for the market in Markham. The other varieties looked like they would be ready in more than a week away. The heat way hits and THE STRAWBERRIES ARE RIPENING FAST!!!! Farmer Jim now thinks we will be opening here in Greenbank for pick your own and fresh picked strawberries Sunday June 17th - just in time for Fathers Day. Please call 905-985-6749 before coming for exact opening day and hours. FRESH PICKED STRAWBERRIES ARE AVAILABLE AT OUR MARKHAM FARM!! The crop in Greenbank is looking good and we have a good supply of our early berries at our Markham farm location. Peas are early this year and we are picking them for the market as well.
